Automatic Location
When you complete an event, Recap automatically requests your current location. This is used to:
- Tag the event with GPS coordinates
- Display the venue name in event metadata
- Generate location-aware content in Recaps (satellite imagery, weather conditions)
Permissions
Recap requests location permission only when you complete an event. You can grant or deny this permission — location tagging is optional.
If denied, your events will not have location data, and some Recap features (like the aerial intro sequence) will use generic imagery instead.
Managing Permissions
You can change location permissions at any time by going to Settings > App Permissions, which takes you to the iOS Settings app for Recap.
