Visibility Settings

Control who can see your videos and profile.

Video Visibility

Each output can have its own visibility setting:

  • Public — anyone can view the video
  • Followers Only — only your approved followers can view it
  • Private — only you can see it
  • Hidden — the video is completely hidden from your feed and other users
You set visibility when configuring each output type before processing. You can also change visibility after processing from the event's settings.

Default Event Visibility

Set a default visibility for all new events in Settings > Event Visibility. This applies to all output types for new events. You can always override it per-event.

Changing the default does not affect existing events — only new ones created after the change.

Profile Visibility

Separate from video visibility, your profile visibility controls who can discover your profile:

  • Public — your profile appears in search and anyone can follow you
  • Followers Only — only approved followers see your content
  • Private — your profile is hidden from search
Go to Settings > Account Centre > Profile Visibility to change this.

Public Requires Public Profile

To set a video to Public, your profile must also be set to Public. If your profile is Private or Followers Only, the Public option will be disabled for videos.

How They Interact

Video visibility overrides profile visibility. A public video can be accessed by anyone with the link, even if your profile is otherwise set to followers-only.
