Filming Modes

Choose between Soccer, Team Sports, and General modes.

Available Modes

Recap offers three filming modes, each tailored to a different type of event:

Soccer Mode

The most feature-rich mode, designed specifically for football/soccer matches. It provides:

  • Team labels with customisable names and colours
  • Live score tracking on screen
  • Goal logging — tap a team label to record a goal with scorer name
  • Key moment markers — flag important plays during recording
  • Period markers — mark half-time, full-time, and extra time
The sport is automatically set to Soccer and cannot be changed.

Team Sports Mode

A flexible mode for any team-based sport. It includes:

  • Team labels with customisable names and colours
  • Sport selection — choose from 20+ supported sports (basketball, rugby, hockey, etc.)
  • Manual score entry after recording
  • Key moment markers
Goal logging is not available in this mode — scores are entered manually during event completion.

General Mode

A simplified mode for non-sports events or casual filming. It provides:

  • Minimal controls — just record, pause, and stop
  • No team labels or scores
  • Description field instead of team-based naming
  • Key moment markers

Setting Your Default Mode

Go to Settings > Filming Preferences to set your default filming mode. This will be pre-selected each time you open the camera, but can be changed before recording starts.
