Failures and Retries

What to do when processing fails.

Processing Failures

Occasionally, a processing job may fail. This can happen due to:

  • Temporary server issues
  • Unusual video formats or edge cases
  • Network interruptions during upload

Identifying a Failure

Failed jobs appear in the Processing tab with an error indicator. Tap the job to see more details about what went wrong.

Retrying

Most failures can be resolved by simply retrying:

  • Open the Processing tab
  • Find the failed job
  • Tap Retry
This re-submits the job with a fresh processing run. Your original footage is preserved — retrying doesn't require re-uploading.

Cancelling

If you no longer want a job to process, tap Cancel on the processing card. This stops the current processing run. Note that this doesn't delete your recorded event — you can always re-submit it later from My Events.

Persistent Failures

If a job fails repeatedly after multiple retries, please report the issue using the Report button. This sends diagnostic information to the Recap team to investigate.

You can also email support@recap.mobi with details about the event that's failing.
